RoaD tRip!!!

Despite the way it looks... I actually drove most ot the way. But Dad wouldn't let me take pictures while I was driving...weird! It took us about 3 days to get to DC. Dad has a new found apprectiation for dipped cones, church history sites, The Olive Garden, and Brad Paisley....
















Some trip highlights: The Mississippi River - it was absolutely incredible! So beautiful! We rolled in about an hour before sunset...I dipped my feet in...there were lilypads literally covering the water in some parts.






The Stars in Illinois - we pulled over to the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and I layed on top of the car and gazed at the stars for about 10 minutes! It was breathtaking! We could see the milky way too!



The moon in Illinois - it was this bright orange-red as it was rising! With the mountains in utah, we never really get to see the moon rise from the horizon like that - it was awesome!



We saw tons of corn and I took my field of dreams picture.... disappearing into it.



Carthage Jail was really cool


Winter Quarters - excellent dipped cones!



The mountains of West Virginia and south western Pennsylvania were spectacular!!

Nauvoo Temple was beautiful up there on the hill! I loved the statue of Joseph and Hyrum's last ride!
