Right after finals(literally two hours after finishing) I hopped on a plane to Boston! It was a short trip but was SO much fun!! I had never been before but my friend, Jon, was home visiting his family (they live about 45 minutes north of Boston in Georgetown, Massachusetts) and invited me to come stay for a few days to see the city. The weather wasn't too great so that limited our activities somewhat...but....we went on a duck tour of the city and I got to drive the duck in the water :) , we saw Boston Common and all of down town, we drove through Harvard campus, saw the real Cheers bar, Boston Garden, and all that stuff. We went to an Imax movie about the Alps which was pretty cool...we had some great food...but i think the best part of the trip was the baseball game at Fenway Park! Despite waiting in a 2 hour rain delay, they did play the game. We had such amazing seats because Jon's dad has season tickets right by home plate but off to the side so we were just barely outside of the net. It was so much fun to sing Sweet Caroline at Fenway and just see the ballpark...it really is a magical place! Probably the funniest thing of the trip was when I spotted an owl at Jon's house in the backyard by the pond....yeah....it wasn't real.... :)
Then my mom and sister flew to DC and we all went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for a week! It was so much fun!! We stayed at my aunt's beach house and had a blast! It really is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!!
