Quick recap:

Sorry for the lack of posts lately!! Finals started last week and my life has been crazy....



a) Two saturdays ago, I went on a bike ride with my friend Kyle. The weather here has been amazing and it felt so good to get outside! We rode down to Mount Vernon and back--riding the trail that lines the potomac. It was about 26 miles round trip...but just after we started heading back home it started POURING rain!!! It was crazy!! We were riding through standing water and could not have been more wet if we had jumped into a swimming pool! But it was seriously so much fun! Before the rain, on our way down, we found this school yard with a map of the United States... I don't know why i thought it was so cool and made kyle take a picture of me...



b) I made the Moot Court Board. It was such a long day of competition....I had to give my oral argument in front of a panel of judges 3 different times...nightmare. However, I will say that for Round II, i was a rock star and nailed it....round III not so much....but still managed i guess. This will be a great addition to my resume as many top law firms won't interview people who aren't on journals or Moot Court. This means that I have to compete in an upper level competition before I graduate...they just announced that Justice Scalia is going to be one of the judges of the Van Vleck Moot Court Competition next year that is hosted by our GW Law School Moot Court Board!! Wow! Big time.


c) I went to see Chris Merritt in concert last thursday! He was amazing and i loved it!


d) Also, last friday I got to see Gladys Knight and the Saints Unifed Voices Choir! It was unbelievably good! I don't know how she sings like that at her age but it was amazing! And so incredible to hear both her and her husband's testimonies of the gospel and how they came to know the church is true! What a wonderful experience!


e) Sam, my brother, got transfered to Cusco! He's serving a mission in Peru and has been assigned to the same area of Lima for 4 months now but finally got transferred to Inti Raymi. He seems really excited about it. I googled the place and found out that they have this huge festival there in June at the ruins nearby! It looks awesome! Hopefully he gets to go!


f) Took two finals this week....two more next week...then I go to Boston on Thursday....get to see the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Friday....then SarahJane and Mom fly in to DC on Saturday....and we're going to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for a week...then I come home!! So much to do...so little time!
