The Best Hug on Valentines Day

I spent Valentines evening with the most adorable little girl! Abby and I had tons of fun together. She has so much personality, I love it!! I've known her parents for about 4 and a half years now! Adam goes to Georgetown law school so we have similar woes to speak of...and Cassie is one of the kindest people I know and an incredible mother! I love visiting them!! Abby showed me her room, her books, her new christmas presents, how she brushes her hair, her princess chair, her tv, she let me smell her valentines day carnation, she showed me her bracelet, her necklace, her shoes, the line she drew down her leg with magic marker, her cheesy smiles, she told me about her baby brother "Joey" that's in her mother's tummy and then pointed to my chest and asked me if I had a baby in my tummy....she is so much fun I can't wait to go visit them all again.

Barrister's Ball.....i.e. 'law school prom'

So we went to the prom... It really was a lot of fun!! Some of our closer friends didn't go because we have a huge memo due tomorrow...so that was too bad because it would have been more fun with them there. Mostly, I went because it's fun to get dressed up :). I never really went to dances in high school...which is sad because I really enjoy them. In retrospect I probably should have brought a date last night. Lots of people there didn't bring dates, but I think I would have had more fun dancing if I had brought one. I'm cheap though...that was part of it. Tickets for the Ball were $50...due in part to the open bar....but then they announced they were going to offer non-drinking tickets for only $30, so Callie and I decided that we had to go to support the "non-drinking" ticket idea since they have never offered that as an option at previous SBA parties and we had been suggesting to some people on the committee that they change that. But I had so much fun!! And now my saturday will be horrendous as I will be furiously trying to finish my memo and make up for lost time...
